FAQ

What does GoParenting do?

We offer parenting coaching for individuals and couples in person, by phone or by Skype. Parents who prefer face-to-face sessions can be seen in Kent or London.

Why by phone or Skype?

We understand that it’s not always easy when you have children to find the time to travel, so we offer coaching on the phone or by Skype. Communicating this way means that parenting support is available to you wherever you are and at a time that suits you.

Will parenting coaching be right for me?

Everything we do together will be tailored to your needs and will draw on your own experiences, both as a child and as a parent. We offer a free initial telephone consultation to help you decide whether you feel Michelle is the right person to work with you.

How much does it cost?

A face-to-face session is £50 per hour (plus travel from central Kent).

A Phone or Skype session is £40 per hour.

Payment can be made by direct bank transfer or Paypal.

We are able to offer discounts to clients in some circumstances. Please talk to us if concerns about money are stopping you from getting in touch.

How many sessions will I need?

On average sessions are weekly for four to six weeks. Sometimes it may only take one or two sessions and sometimes it may take more than six. Each individual/family has different requirements and we will discuss yours during the initial consultation.

Will my children need to be with me during sessions?

This is something that we can discuss during the initial consultation. Sometimes it will be appropriate and necessary for them to be there.

When will my sessions be?

Sessions do not need to be at the same time each week, they are arranged to fit in with your needs.

Where will my sessions be?

Michelle is able to meet people for face to face sessions in the South of England either at your home or at an agreed public space. If you don’t live in the South of England or it is too far for you to travel, your sessions will be via phone or Skype.

What type of issues do people contact you about?

Really anything to do with bringing up children aged two to eighteen. These have included questions about sleep issues, disciplining children, sibling fights, setting boundaries for teenagers, toddler tantrums and ‘fussy’ eating. Please contact us about whatever it is you are experiencing, we will be very happy to help with any parenting issue and if Michelle feels she is not the right person to advise you she will help you find somebody who is.

I would like to book a session, what do I do next?

We offer a free 30 minute initial consultation to give you the opportunity to discuss with Michelle what it is that you would like support with. This is a no obligation consultation. If you would like support from Michelle after this consultation then she will arrange a convenient date and time for your first face to face or Skype session and explain the support she can offer in more depth.

If you think you might like to arrange a free consultation but would like some more information first please contact us.
